Hey guys, Looking at the new roadmap and the current state of the game, I think a good version of WW3 can be presented by the end of June, but there are some things that I think need more fixing, and some more urgent than others. This thread is mainly for suggesting things that should be there before the free weekend goes live, because it could potentially go bad if the new players don't like it. The most important thing I'd like to see is VOIP at least having some form of video tutorial or in-game UI. I've had some squadmates use it in games before, and yet still haven't been able to figure it out myself even though I'm pretty good with computers most of the time. When I first saw the patch notes saying VOIP, I thought it was a mistake because I couldn't figure out how to use it and so assumed it was an error until I heard voices coming through. The point here is that this is not user friendly at all, and VOIP is a feature that is necessary for proper tactical gameplay in an FPS, so allowing people to believe that it doesn't even exist in the game right now won't score any points.
If you guys decided to add a ingame voip system, can we please have it set to default to two seperate channels. Channel A, is squad chat and for the 5 members of the Squad Channel B, Is for "team" chat is and is a channel where squad leaders can communicate with each other (non leaders will NOT be able to be in that chat) I know voip is not a priority at this time and you may never add it, but if you decided to having this type of depth would be fantastic.
I wish to discuss the possibility of making squads a little more viable and communication both in your squad and other squads. 1. VOIP - I can understand why most would say no to ingame VoIP in squads, however, for players that are not in a premade squad and don't wish to add numerous strangers to a discord channel, they have no means of quickly communicating dangers or intentions without standing still for an amount of time. Which leads me to my next idea. 2. Emotes - Its cool to see the amount of tactical emotes within the game from follow me, to a call to attack. The problem stems from the point that no one can really use this as a means of communication when VOIP doesn't exist unless players visually see mid fight their squad member do an emote and understand its meaning, now what if when a player within your squad performs an emote it would in the text chat (only visible to the squad) it said something along the lines of "playerName - Regroup". This would allow for some basic communication while implementing the tactical animation emotes already within the game. 3. Squad leaders - Plz stop switching squad leaders numerous times and allow us to lock squads. 4. Again another VoIP issue but perhaps allow communication between squad leaders to organize attacks. I understand the number of squads could make this unviable so maybe allow squad leaders to ping requests on the map from others or to ping their intent to show that another squad is dealing with another problem. Thanks for reading my suggestions
