Very bad performance

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am playing on this rig:

  • CPU: AMD fx-8320 | 8 threads 3,5 Ghz
  • GPU: Nvidia Geforce Gtx 970
  • RAM: 16Gb DDR3
  • Drive: Running on a 500Gb SSD

My performance is extremely bad, even when playing at 720p with all settings low I get at the best 40 fps and while seeing other players I get about 15 to 20 fps.
My CPU and GPU are only used to 20-30% and the game uses 10Gb of my RAM. For me the game is unplayable like that.

Is there anything I forgot to change? Or should I just wait for performance patches?
My Rig definitely is not the problem, while it has seen better days for sure I can play almost every other game at high-ultra settings at 1080p with 60fps.

Please help, I like the game a lot.

Greetings

Maybe also try these Boot Configuration Data Edits

open console as administrator (cmd.exe)

bcdedit /deletevalue useplatformclock

bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes

Also make sure you havent running set to toggle. For me it cause microstuttering while running 60+ fps

Unfortunately AMD is known for having issues with not yet optimized Unreal Engine.

Good luck and have fun - Stun o7

@Stundorn Thanks for the help I will try it out :)

EDIT: Sadly bcedit is not a command I can use / there is no bcedit.exe in the game folder.

The only problem i see with your system is the old CPU.

I'd say, try and see if the overclock helps, my default 8700k played this game with very bad fps.

Until i clocked it to 5GHZ,  i have pretty good fps now, from 70-140.

some ppl is saying the GTX 900 series have problems at this moment with the game, but you can wait for optimization, devs said they are going to work on it

That's because it's BCDedit.exe and not bcedit.exe ?

And it's not in the game folder it's a Windows command to edit Boot Configuration Data.

You need to open console as an administrator and just enter the lines i posted above at prompt C:\

Yes would be worth trying, but my CPU is only 30 to 40% used while playing...

I guess I will just wait for optimization :D
